Bob’s landscaping journey began at just 12 years old, mowing grass for a local industrial property. That early spark grew into a lifelong passion, leading him to earn a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design from The Ohio State University. This strong technical foundation laid the groundwork for a remarkable career. For four decades, Bob helped lead his family’s successful landscaping business, managing everything from client relations to project execution. His experience honed not just his knowledge of sustainable landscape solutions, but also his understanding of how to build and lead a reputable company.
His design philosophy centers on sustainability, plant health, and long-term functionality ensuring that every outdoor space is both beautiful and built to last. With extensive knowledge in plant selection, landscape architecture, and hardscape integration, Bob creates designs that are as environmentally thoughtful as they are visually striking. His ability to merge technical expertise with creative vision guides TerraGreen’s design approach and sets the tone for the entire team.
While Bob now focuses primarily on project oversight and client relationships, he still finds time to mentor in the field, ensuring that TerraGreen’s standards of quality and craftsmanship are consistently upheld. As a Phipps Sustainable Landscape Professional and certified Techo-Bloc Pro, Bob helps drive innovation while staying grounded in timeless landscaping principles.
Outside of work, Bob is a dedicated family man and active community leader. Married for more than 30 years, Bob and his wife Judy have built a life centered around family and travel. A proud grandfather, Bob also spent 12 years coaching softball, sharing his time and mentorship with the next generation. He finds joy in the quieter moments spinning his favorite records, preparing classic Italian dishes, and winding down each evening with the Wall Street Journal Crossword Puzzle.
